PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for a transparent film of nonphotocatalyst solution to have excellent practicability, workability, handling property, and designability and low cost and designed to impart photocatalyst to a member to be coated comprising a material having water repellency such as polyvinyl chloride, plastic, FRP or the like with a simple method. SOLUTION: A water-soluble bivalent iron compound is mixed with nonphotocatalyst 1 or nonphotocatalyst derivatives, and the mixture is applied to the member 2 to be applied to form the nonphotocatalyst 1 thereon via an iron film 3.
