A rope (3) used as part of the window lifting system was normally fitted with metal sleeves at its outer ends which used to slip off the rope (3) when pulled at, in particular in the case of a synthetic material. The new design of a rope (3) is produced with integrated loops (4, 5) at both ends for being joined to complementary elements. The loops (4, 5) can be created by winding the fibers around two holding elements (1a, 2a) positioned at the appropriate distance and enveloping the central area with fibers or a suitable glue.
