PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective method for preoperative examination which enables the visualization of three-dimensional shapes and movements of blood vessels using images taken at different times.
SOLUTION: A three-dimensional data of a blood vessel 9 is generated by extracting an inphase image of a heartbeat from multidirectional contrast images of a coronary artery 1 (step 100), extracting blood vessel images from each direction (step 102), setting up a center line (step 104) and calculating three-dimensional information on the blood vessel by demanding a response (step 108). Corresponding relations of its branched structure can be grasped by setting up an extraction function based on a region expansion method in order to enhance the precision of the generated three-dimensional position information, which improves the connection of the branched structure, and by utilizing the time-series images.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
