<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by facilitating adjustment of brightness in a liquid crystal display, in a display window provided in the control panel of an image-forming device. <P>SOLUTION: In the display window 20 provided in the control panel of the image-forming device, a back light 22 to be arranged on the reverse side of the liquid crystal display (display) 21 is installed so that the back light can be arranged close to or away from the display 21. The back light 22 is supported on a bracket member 23 and designed to be nearer to or away from the display 21 by rotating a dial 27. The back light 22 is moved by making a pinion 25 meshed with a rack member 24 installed in the bracket member 23.
