A heat transfer comprises a smooth, heat stable, image support means 10 having an image 8 thereon, the support means being capable of being rolled up on to itself 12 at ambient temperatures without offset, transfer or dis-., placement of the image the image being solid and non-tacky at ambient temperatures and being convertible at 400‹ F. or over to a transferable state without blowing and running off, the image having a lower adhesive affinity to the support means at this temperature than to an article The support may be a polytetrafluoroethylene film backed with aluminium foil or may be silicone rubber. The image, may comprise a pigment, e.g. cobalt oxide and one or more thermoplastic binders, e.g. trifluorochloroethylene or a mixture of a polyaryletherarylsulphone and trifluorochloroethylene. The image may be transferred to a hot glass or ceramic surface by pressure, the surface being further heated to decompose or "burn off" the binder and fuse the pigment to the surface. |
