<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch simplifying tracking control. <P>SOLUTION: The optical switch 10 is provided with: microlenses 2a for collimating optical signals; a light deflecting element part 3 for varying the deflection angles of the collimated optical signals; slab waveguides 4 for propagating the optical signals; an optical deflector 5 for varying the deflection angles of the optical signals inputted through the slab waveguides 4, and a plurality of channels provided with output side channel waveguides 7a.
