PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water reservoir designed so as to easily ensuring its setting place by utilizing poles such as telegraph ones, and having satisfactory pondage for the size of the water intake opening of the reservoir. SOLUTION: The water reservoir comprises a water-level regulating device, two case bodies 2, a decorative board, a dust protection mesh cover, a water supply pipe 5 and water-supply valve 6. Both of the case bodies 2 are joined with each other on both sides of a pole A and can be fixed to the pole A. The case bodies 2 each has a water intake opening at the upper end, and a water supply hole 45 at the lower end. The outside surface of the case body is covered with the decorative board, and the water intake opening is covered with the dust protection mesh cover. Heat insulating material is applied over the whole of the outside surface of each of the case bodies 2. The water supply pipe 5 is connected to the water supply hole 45.
