<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure using a union packing which can obtain sufficient sealing property with small torque, and to provide a meter unit equipped with the sealing structure. <P>SOLUTION: A slide member 21 is moved by rotating a rotating member 17 of an installing and removing device 16 fixed to a water stop valve 13, and the other end side connecting part 23 is made to abut on an upstream side connecting part 15a. A meter 15 is pushed toward a check valve 14 to be connected with and fixed on it. On the other end side connecting part and an end surface of a connecting part 14a corresponding to a downstream, an annular trench 26 prolonged around an aperture 24 is formed, and the union packing 27 is accommodated in the trench. The trench becomes shallow radially outward, and the amount of compression of the packing increases on the outer peripheral side. The pressure of water in the unit so acts that the packing is pressed outside, thereby increasing sealing property of the packing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
