<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor having a control valve disposed on a rear housing for suppressing any increase of passage resistance of an intake chamber while miniaturizing the compressor. <P>SOLUTION: In a structure in which a control valve 33 is disposed astride an intake chamber 7 and a discharge chamber 8 of a rear housing 6, the control valve 33 is held by a holding wall 41 provided in the discharge chamber 8 in an expanded manner, and exposed in the intake chamber 7. Since the intake chamber 7 has no wall to hold the control valve 33, a passage area of the intake chamber is increased. Therefore, any increase of the passage resistance is suppressed even when the compressor 1 is miniaturized.
