PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance high rate characteristics, low temperature characteristics, and cycle characteristics by eliminating wrinkles of a separator in an electrode plate for a battery. SOLUTION: A secondary battery is formed by alternately stacking a positive plate and a negative plate through a separator so as to face each other, at least the positive plate or the negative plate is interposed between two separators, the peripheries of two separators are fused and bonded in a portion being axial symmetry to the center line of the positive plate or the negative plate and on four sides of the positive plate or the negative plate to form a bag shape separator.
