PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost surface-mounting header connector having high flatness in a soldering part. SOLUTION: This header connector is provided with two or more positioning posts 211, and solder tabs 212 right and left. The header connector is formed with a prescribed number of through holes, e.g. in two upper and lower lines. The respective through holes is provided with nearly linear header pins 22 of a copper alloy. A nearly rectangular slave board 23 is provided between the header pins 22. One end of the long side of the slave board 23 is provided with a pattern of a pitch corresponding to each the header pin 22 on both faces, while the other end is provided with a pattern of a prescribed pitch in a line. The header pins 22 are installed to the prescribed pattern of the slave board 23, a horizontal portion of a nearly L-shaped sub-contact 24 is positioned to a sub-contact positioning groove formed in a header mold 21, and a vertical portion is connected to the pattern of the slave board 23 by a solder layer 231 or the like mainly composed of solder.
