摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field detecting optical apparatus for achieving high sensitivity and cost efficiency by using a plurality of high-performance compact electro-optical crystals. SOLUTION: Laser beam emitted from a laser diode 21 is made incident on two serially connected electro-optical elements 23a and 23b via a collimator lens 33 and a first wavelength plate 35, and polarized and changed by an electric field to be combined. The laser beam polarized and changed by the electric field is made incident on a polarized beam splitter 39 after its polarization state is regulated by a second wavelength plate 37, separated into P-waves and S-waves by the polarized beam splitter 39, condensed by first and second condensing lenses 41a and 41b, and converted into electric signals by first and second photodiodes 43a and 43b.
