<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing a decrease in energy efficiency of an overall power supply device having a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device 15 stops an auxiliary machine 40 of the fuel cell 60, such as a fuel gas supply unit, an oxygen containing gas supply unit or the like of a fuel cell system 22 when a capacitor voltage is larger than a first reference voltage. When the capacitor voltage becomes lower than a second reference voltage, the fuel cell system 22 is operated to obtain a power from the fuel cell 60. The operating state of the auxiliary machine 40 may be transferred from a normal operation to a standby operation at a stage of a lower capacitor voltage before the capacitor voltage exceeds the first reference voltage. The operating state of the auxiliary machine 40 may be transferred from a normal operation to a standby operation at a stage of a lower capacitor voltage after the capacitor voltage is lower than a the second reference voltage. Thereafter, the auxiliary machine 40 is normally operated. When the auxiliary machine 40 is stopped or standby operated, electric power is obtained from the capacitor 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
