<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor achieving sufficient motor cooling and energy saving effects by making a removal heat of a fan just proportional to a generated heat of the motor. <P>SOLUTION: A hydraulic screw compressor 1A as one of examples of the screw compressor comprises a compressor body 12 storing a pair of male and female screw rotors to be driven in mutual mesh by the motor 11, a cooling fan 21 provided independently of the motor 11 for blowing air toward the motor 11, and control means for receiving a temperature signal detected by a temperature detector 22 for detecting an coil temperature of the motor 11 and controlling an increase/decrease of the rotating number of the cooling fan in accordance with the coil temperature to keep the coil temperature in an allowable range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
