<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus with a small memory capacity to apply rotation processing of a color image capable of using black/white binary circuits without any modification. <P>SOLUTION: An AFE (analog front end) circuit 4 receives R,G,B signals of a color image read by a color scanner 3, converts the signals into multi-value R, G and B digital signals, and gives them to an RGB/CMYK conversion table 5. The RGB/CMYK conversion table 5 converts the multi-value R, G and B digital signals into multi-value CMYK digital signals, and an error spread processing circuit 6 converts the multi-value CMYK digital signals into binary CMYK signals.
