<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device allowing size and placing state of paper to be confirmed without seeing a liquid crystal panel when the paper is placed on a paper feed tray, solving the problem wherein, for a conventional paper feed tray, a display of paper size is only on the liquid crystal panel and is too high for a non-healthy person to see it. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a notification device 105 that notifies by a voice or identifying sound, a manual-feed tray 5 on which paper for forming images is placed, a place-on sensor 54 for detecting whether the paper is placed on the manual-feed tray, and a side plate 52 used as a size detecting sensor. An alarm device controlling means controls to output the voice or identifying sound from the notification device by detection signals from the place-on sensor and the size detecting sensor. Accordingly, when the paper is fed into the manual-feed tray, size of the fed paper recognized by the image forming device can be confirmed without seeing an operation display section 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
