REPLICATION-DEFECTIVE RECOMBINANT RETROVIRUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant retrovirus carrying a vector structure capable of preventing, inhibiting, stabilizing or reversing infectious, cancerous auto-immune or immunological diseases.

SOLUTION: The retrovirus is a replication-defective retrovirus which either one of gag/pol gene and env gene is deleted and has a vector structure including a gene encoding an antigen workably connected with a promoter for expression in a target cell infected with the retrovirus or a modified antigen thereof. The antigen or the modified antigen thereof can stimulate immune response in animals. The retrovirus is a replication-defective retrovirus produced by a packaging cell which either one of gag/pol gene and env gene carried by the retrovirus is deleted.
