PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant control device for preventing any overshoot to a target value of a plant output attributable to sudden change of identification error in the case where a model parameter of a control model to model the plant to be controlled is identified to perform the control by using the identified model parameter. SOLUTION: When the identification error ide(n) is larger than a predetermined upper limit value IDEMAX, the identification error ide(n) is set to be the predetermined IDEMAX (S56 and S57). When the identification error ede(n) is smaller than a predetermined lower limit value IDEMIN, the identification error ide(n) is set to be the predetermined lower limit value IDEMIN (S58 and S59).
