PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new composite fine particles, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing the composite fine particles having polyamic acid layers on the surfaces, respectively, is characterized by comprising (a) the first process for dispersing a particulate material having functional groups capable of reacting with at least one of a tetracarboxylic acid anhydride and a diamine compound in an organic solvent to obtain the dispersion, and (b) the second process for adding the tetracarboxylic acid anhydride and the diamine compound to the dispersion obtained in the first process to react the functional groups, the tetracarboxylic acid anhydride and the diamine compound, thus forming the polyamic acid layers on the surfaces of the particulate material.
