PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety of data recorded on an information storage medium. SOLUTION: A CPU 14 reads main device information 30 out of a fixed hard disk 19 to a RAMI 16 and writes the main device information 30 to a removable hard disk unit 20 which is inserted into a removable hard disk slot 18 and locked.
