PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use system which can speedily alter a motion operation and whose preparations in advance are simple. SOLUTION: The system has: a numerical controller 6A which controls a servo amplifier 13A according to a given motion command; a memory 10A for storing motion command data on a speed, position, etc., as variables; a motion API 4A which is called by an application program 2A on a personal computer 2A and gives the motion command through the numerical controller 6A and a bus 18A of PCI etc.; and a means for indirectly specifying, by the motion API, addresses to the variables of motion command data present in the memory.
