PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new locking structure for manhole lid capable of securing sufficient airtightness even in a small space. SOLUTION: The locking structure includes a plurality of bar insertion openings 3b, 3c formed in a manhole lid body 3 by exposing part of the inner peripheral surface of a receptacle 2 against which the manhole lid body 3 is supported; a locking member 8 having a closing lid 5 closing the bar insertion openings 3b, 3c, the locking member being rotated about right and left pivots 7d, 7c by pressing the closing lid 5 downward; right and left support parts 3g, 3f formed on the back of the manhole lid body 3 and having formed therein shaft insertion parts 3h, 3k into which the right and left pivots 7d, 7c of the locking member 8 are rotatably inserted; one and the other elastic closing members 10, 11 for biasing the locking member 8 in the direction in which the bar insertion openings 3b, 3c are closed by the lid 5; and one and the other elastic upward-biasing members 12, 13 for biasing the locking member 8 upward.
