PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for thermally activating a thermosensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which prevents the pressure sensitive adhesive of the thermosensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet from interlocking by carbonization on the surface of a thermal head to improve energy transfer efficiency to the pressure-sensitive adhesive and can always exhibit desired tack by optimally controlling the energy to be applied, and a printer device. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for thermally activating the thermosensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which has at least a thermal activation heating means to heat and activate a thermosensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the thermosensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet formed on one surface of a sheet substrate having a printable face on the other surface, an energy control means to control the energy to be applied to the above heat activation heating means by varying the pulse-duration of the voltage pulse to be applied while maintaining the amplitude constant is provided.
