PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for a hair cosmetic, having excellent performance for fixing the hair, and extremely superior decorative effects compared to conventional compositions for the hair cosmetic by enabling powdery, granular or cut fragment-shaped decorative material capable of imparting decorative effects accompanying light reflection to the hair to be used as the powdery, granular or cut fragment-shaped decorative material, and capable of stably keeping the decorative effects for a long time. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic composition containing the powdery, granular or cut fragment-shaped decorative material capable of imparting the decorative effects accompanying the light reflection to the hair contains a decorative material-fixing agent in a solid or pasty state at normal temperature with which the decorative material can be fixed to the hair, and a volatile liquid material.
