PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide probe light source equipment capable of selectively introducing exciting light or treatment laser beams to a single probe. SOLUTION: The probe 3 is inserted into a forceps channel 13 of an electronic endoscope 1. The proximal end of the probe 3 is mounted to laser equipment 4. The laser equipment 4 incorporates: a laser generator 45 for emitting basic laser beams which are the infrared laser beams of high energy; an optical path switching device 43 for switching the optical path of the basic laser beams generated from the laser generator 45; a third higher harmonic wave generator 47 disposed on a first optical path, receiving the basic laser beams and emitting the exciting light which is the third higher harmonic wave of it; a second higher harmonic wave generator 50 disposed on a third optical path, receiving the basic laser beams and emitting the reference light which is the second higher harmonic wave of it, and an optical system for combining the exciting light, the reference light, and the basic laser beams having advanced through a second optical path to focus on the distal end surface of the probe.
