<p>This invention relates to a seal (10) for sealing a container. The seal (10) includes a foil (12) with at least one aperture (16) extending through the foil, and a selective membrane (18) which seals the at least one aperture (16) in the foil. The selective membrane (18) is liquid-resistant and gas-permeable. When attached to a container the seal (10) allows air to pass into or out of the container and stops collapsing or bulging of plastics containers when being moved from higher to lower and lower to higher altitudes.</p> |
