ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING THE PHOTORECEPTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which prevents sensitivity degradation and residual-potential increase despite repeated use in reversal development system and is free of an image density decrease, and to provide an image forming apparatus and image forming method using the electrophotographic photoreceptor.

SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 has on its conductive support an intermediate layer in which inorganic pigment is dispersed, a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer. The charge generation layer comprises (1) a charge generation substance; (2) a binder resin; and (3) at least one selected from a group consisting of crown ether; polyethylene glycol mono or diester; polyalkylene glycol ether; and a random copolymer or block copolymer, which comprises oxyethylene and oxypropylene groups and a hydroxyl group at the terminal end of its molecule. The image forming apparatus and image forming method uses the electrophotographic photoreceptor.
