<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of effectively preventing leak of a reactive gas in a simple and low-cost structure and surely maintaining a required generating performance. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 10 comprises an electrolyte film/electrode jointed body 14 and a first and a second separators 16, 18 pinching the electrolyte film/electrode jointed body 14. An oxidant gas flow channel 46 supplying an oxidant gas in a gravitational direction while meandering in a horizontal direction is formed to the first separator 16. A flow channel boundary part 52 is formed to the inside of a folded part of the oxidant gas flow channel 46 by notching a gas diffusion layer, and an insulating seal 54 for blocking leak of the reactive gas is formed to the flow channel boundary part 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
