<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize the fact that no beat noise occurs when polarized waves are orthogonal, even if the wavelengths of transmission light from two sub-stations approach, in a light interference canceller. <P>SOLUTION: The beat noise can be detected, even if the polarized waves are orthogonal, when the wavelengths of the two transmission light included in optical signals from the sub-station approaches, by arranging a polarized wave dependence loss element in one of two detection systems. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
