<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the temperature of a rechargeable battery in a short period of time even if an energy storage device is charged/discharged with a constant electric power. <P>SOLUTION: To control charging/discharging of the electric storage device in which at least one rechargeable battery and at least one capacitor are connected in parallel, a caloric value maximum remaining capacity SOC* of the electric storage device is calculated when the heating amount during operation of the rechargeable battery is maximum (step S22), a charge/discharge cycle of the electric storage device is calculated when the heating amount during operation of the rechargeable battery is maximum (step S28), the current remaining capacity of the electric storage device is taken as the remaining capacity of the electric storage device having been calculated (step S25-step S27), and then charging/discharging is performed with the electric storage device by taking the charging/discharging cycle of the electric storage device as a calculated charging/discharging cycle (step S29) for controlling temperature of the rechargeable battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
