PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which realizes an interruption instruction from a transmitter side after the start of a self timer by a remote control without modifying the conventional remote control transmitter. SOLUTION: When signal reception is performed again during the self-timing after reception of a remote control signal and another remote control drive instruction signal is received, the execution thereof is not performed and is regarded as cancellation (reset) on a camera side to stop self-countdown as cancellation and the camera is put into an ordinary remote control signal standby (the meaning of the remote signal changes not to an operation instruction but to the interruption instruction when the signal is received again) after processing as a release interruption.
