PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material usable as a substitute for various O-rings in various machines for food processing, preventing the intrusion of food scum into a housing for sealing, or if intruded, suppressing the proliferation of sundry germs. SOLUTION: A lip-type gasket is produced by using a sealing rubber composition produced by incorporating 100 pts. mass of a rubber with 0.1-20 pts. mass of an antibacterial agent composed of a complex of an organic acid and a metal salt.
