PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oriented film in which an orientation axis is not deviated by simply removing wrinkles of the film resulting from a deficiency of biting or the like. SOLUTION: Left and right rails 3 and 4 are constituted of entrance rail sections 3a and 4a, egress rail sections 3b and 4b, and bent rail sections 3c and 4c. Respective parts of the rails 3 and 4 are displaced in a widthwise direction of the film 20 by positioning sections 7 to 14. Endless chains 5 and 6 are respectively disposed along the rails 3 and 4. Many film clips 23a and 23b are respectively provided at the endless chains 5 and 6. The left and right endless chains 5 and 6 are individually driven by independent chain drivers 5 and 6. At initial biting of a film edge, the wrinkles are removed by providing a difference of running speeds of the endless chains 5 and 6 when the wrinkles occurs at the film due to a biting failure or the like. Thus, a film tilt at biting can be eliminated, and hence a film orientation in which the orientation axis is not deviated can be performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
