PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod readily recognizing the bending degree of a rod body even at night, etc. SOLUTION: The fishing rod comprises a tip rod 1 thereof equipped with a body part 3, a piezoelectric element tape 7 arranged on the peripheral surface of the body part 3 and extending in the axial direction, a bottom stopper 6 demountably mounted on the end of the rod butt side of the body part 3 and a boosting means arranged in the bottom stopper 6 and boosting the input voltage from the piezoelectric element tape 7. A ground layer 11, a first electrode layer 12, an insulating layer 13, a luminous layer 14, a second electrode layer 15 and a surface layer 16 are successively laminated in the order from the the peripheral surface of the body part 3 thereon. The voltage from the boosting means is applied across the first electrode layer 12 and the second electrode layer 15. The input voltage from the piezoelectric element tape 7 is changed according to the bending degree of the tip rod 1. The luminous layer 14 emits light according to the bending degree.
