In a first step, a peripheral, annular groove (3) is incorporated into the throttle body (2). A first male mold (4) and a second male mold (5) are inserted in the throttle body (2) and a first plastic material is introduced in the molten state into the cylindrical first cavity (6) thereby formed and allowed to cure, thereby producing a plastic insert (10). The first male mold (4) and the second male mold (5) are withdrawn from the throttle body (2) and a third male mold (11) and a fourth male mold (12) are introduced into the throttle body (2). Between these two molds a second cavity (14) is formed which is filled with a second plastic material, thereby producing the throttle valve (1). |
