<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule-containing liquid for a thermal recording material, which enhances storage stability and filterability, and the thermal recording medium using the same, which is excellent in smoothness and glossiness. <P>SOLUTION: This microcapsule-containing liquid for the thermal recording material contains an emulsion latex and an isocyanate compound including a diisocyanate compound of 3 mass% or more, which is expressed by general formula (1): OCN-R-NCO. In general formula (1), R represents -C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n</SB>-(n represents an integer of 2-10), cycloalkylene (its carbon number is in the range of 7-27), or a bivalent aromatic group which is expressed by general formula (2). In general formula (2), one of R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>5</SP>represents-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>m</SB>-; each of the others independently represents a hydrogen atom or-C<SB>L</SB>H<SB>2L+1</SB>(L represents an integer of 1-4); and m represents an integer of 0-2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
