<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a space saving and sealed structure, and to improve the easiness of the assembly in a stepping motor. <P>SOLUTION: A motor stator 3 and a resolver stator 4 are provided inside a cylindrical casing 2 equipped with a connector 10. A motor rotor 6 and a resolver rotor 7 are fixed to a shaft 5. A front flange 8 and a rear cover 9 are mounted on both ends of the casing 2 to seal the casing 2. With the inside circumferential part of the motor stator 3 taken as a reference, the supporting part 35 of the front flange 8 and a bush 25 set the positions of ball bearings 28, 29 and the resolver stator to improve the positioning accuracy between the motor stator 3 and the motor rotor 6, and between the resolver stator 4 and the resolver rotor 7. The arrangement of the resolver inside the casing 2 equipped with the connector 10 reduces space to be required.
