PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-accuracy product considering the contraction by welding distortion when constituting a structure having a closed cross section by combining and welding a pair of frame members each other. SOLUTION: The accuracy in the dimension H of a frame 15 having the closed cross section after contraction in the sectional dimensions is secured by the prospective amount 24 provided to the opposing part 21. Because it is made possible to obtain the necessary amount W of overlap of welding joint parts 18, 19 of a pair of frame members 16, 17 from the point in time when the welding distortion is not generated before carrying out welding ( a frame 15' having a closed cross section in fig. 1 )irrespective of the size of the prospective amount 24 in the opposing part 21, the generation of the clearance between plates is prevented.
