PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchable receiving apparatus in which audible distortion is reduced. SOLUTION: In the receiving apparatus for receiving a digital signal and an analog signal to send the same audio program, based upon a receiving status, the digital signal is switched or slid to the analog signal and returned. In a conventional receiving apparatus, each time a digital signal having audio bandwidth of about 12kHz and an analog signal having audio bandwidth of just 4.5kHz are switched, a sound of a received audio output signal is changed from a rich sound to a comparatively flat sound or inversely. In order to avoid such a state, in the receiving apparatus, the audio bandwidth of the digital signal is narrowed in accordance with the receiving status. Besides, when switching frequently occurs or when receiving of the digital signal is not suitable, the bandwidth of the digital signal is narrowed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
