PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of accurately demodulating a digital signal even when the reception conditions are poor and to provide a communication system. SOLUTION: The communication system is provided with: a transmitter 2 for radioing a digital signal including error correction information; a plurality of reception systems such as first and second reception systems 31-1, 31-2 for applying error correction processing to the digital signal; and a selection circuit 37 for selecting the digital signal completely subjected to the error correction processing outputted from a plurality of the reception systems on the basis of a result of the error correction processing outputted from a plurality of the reception systems.
