PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal insulation roller having high thermal insulation property, sufficient stiffness, and high durability, and to provide a manufacturing method of the thermal insulation roller economically, inexpensively, and massively. SOLUTION: The thermal insulation roller includes a core metal and a cylindrical roller part integrated around the core metal. The roller part is a molded body made of hydraulic composition, the molded body made of the hydraulic composition has heat conductivity of 1.3 W/(mK) or less and porosity of 10-70vol%.
