WARMING-UP STRUCTURE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE OF VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate the warming-up of an water-cooled internal combustion engine utilizing the heat of exhaust gas. SOLUTION: A heat receiving member 20 for receiving heat emitted from an exhaust manifold 12 is provided in a water inlet 18 of a cooling circuit for circulating cooling water around the engine 11. The heat receiving member 20 transmits the received heat to the cooling water via the water inlet 18. The heat receiving member 20 consists of a heat receiving plate part 21 facing a collecting pipe 17 of the exhaust manifold 12 and a supporting part 22 for supporting the heat receiving plate part 21 on the water inlet 18. The supporting part 22 transmits the heat received by the heat receiving plate part 21 to the water inlet 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
