PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition having excellent detergency, resistance to discoloration while storage and prevention against discoloration of a substrate to be deterged. SOLUTION: This liquid detergent composition contains (a) an amine compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a 13-21 C alkyl group or alkenyl group, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a 1-6 C alkyl group or hydroxy alkyl group, X is a group selected from the group consisting of -NH-, -CONH-, -COO- and -O-, n is an integer, Y is a hydrogen atom or R<SP>4</SP>-O-, R<SP>4</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a 1-20 C alkyl group or alkenyl group, R<SP>5</SP>is 2-6 C alkylene group, m is a 2-500 integer), (b) an alkanolamine and (c) a nonionic compound represented by general formula (II): Y-(R<SP>5-</SP>O)m-R<SP>6</SP>and water.The composition has a 10-60 mass % component corresponding to a surface active agent described in the JIS K 3362:1998 and pH 8-12 determined by a method described in the JIS K 3362:1998 at 20°C.
