PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a solid cosmetic, by which a beautiful and clear pattern free from a scorched portion is obtained, and to produce the solid cosmetic having the beautiful and clear pattern free from the scorched portion. SOLUTION: The method for producing the solid cosmetic is characterized by switching on/off the irradiation of laser light in response to pattern data to form the pattern on the solid cosmetic 100, and outputting burst-like laser light giving a high peak power obtained by gathering energy in a projected wave shape. The solid cosmetic 100 irradiated with the burst-like laser light having a high peak power is immediately sublimated to scatter the peripheral solid cosmetic with the energy, thereby digging the pattern without being scorched.
