PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lead-free, arsenic-free short flint special glass. SOLUTION: The special glass has a refractive index of 1.60≤n<SB>d</SB>≤1.65, an Abbe number of 41≤v<SB>d</SB>≤52, the relative partial dispersion in a blue spectral region of 0.551≤P<SB>gF</SB>≤0.570, the relative partial dispersion in a red spectral region of 0.507≤P<SB>Cs</SB>≤0.525, the minus deviation from the standard line of the relative partial dispersion ofΔP<SB>g</SB>,<SB>F</SB>≤-0.045, improved chemical stability, and the composition (weight %) of the table.
