Wiper lever comprises a wiper blade hinged on a wiper arm and lying with a wiper lip on a window and provided with a hinge bolt (38). The wiper arm has two guide walls in the region of the hinge point. An adapter (40) suspended on the hinge bolt is arranged between the guide walls. The adapter engages with lateral protrusions (70) into a recess in each long wall and is provided with locking devices (76) deviated against a restoring force in the direction of the axis of the hinge bolt. The locking devices have locking shoulders (78) which interact with counter-locking shoulders (62) on the long walls when the stop shoulders of the protrusions lie on counter-stop shoulders formed on the recesses in the long walls. Elastically deviatable spring devices (92, 98) arranged on the adapter load the adapter in a pre-tensioned manner toward the counter-locking shoulders. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Wiper blade for cleaning windows, especially of motor vehicles; and (2) Adapter for removably connecting a wiper blade to a wiper arm.
