<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical head device capable of smoothly radiating the heat from a laser emitting element to a frame, and forming a proper light spot to a light receiving element. <P>SOLUTION: When manufacturing the optical head device 1, a first laser emitting element 4 and a second laser emitting element 5 are fixed to the frame via a metallic fixing member, therefore, the heat radiation is high. Moreover, after the first laser emitting element 4 is mounted on the frame, the light receiving element is mounted on the frame in align therewith, and then, the second laser emitting element 5 is mounted on the fame.
