<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which the fixing capability is improved without the occurrence of an image defect such as wrinkle in paper while the long service life of a fixing body and a pressure body are ensured, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing roller 31 and a pressure roller 32 are rotated one or more times until a recording material following the previous recording material among two consecutive recording materials during the processing of consecutively fixing a plurality of recording materials, enters a nip area after the previous recording material passes through the nip area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
