<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative planographic printing plate original plate for infrared exposure having a picture recording layer recordable with infrared laser and superior in printability such as dot sharpness. <P>SOLUTION: A negative planographic printing plate original plate for infrared exposure has a picture recording layer that contains an infrared ray absorbent, a radical generating agent, and a radical polymerization compound on a holding body.
