SOLUTION: The thermoelectric converting device comprises a heat absorption part 6 comprising a reflection part 4 provided nearby an Xe tube 1 and an insulation part 5 provided on its reverse surface, a heat ration part 8 for heat radiation, a thermoelectric conversion part 7 provided between them, a thermoelectric conversion output electrode 10 which outputs the thermoelectric conversion output of the thermoelectric conversion part 7, etc. With this constitution, a large amount of heat generated by the flash light emission of the Xe tube 1 generates a large temperature difference between the heat absorption part 6 and heat radiation part 8, and the thermoelectric conversion part 7 converts heat energy into electric energy with a temperature gradient based upon the temperature difference and outputs the electric energy (electric power) to a thermoelectric conversion output electrode 10.
